The approval of a plat pursuant to this chapter shall not be deemed to constitute or effect the acceptance by the town of the dedication or maintenance of any street or other land areas, public utility line, or other public facility shown on the plat. Acceptance of the dedication or maintenance of any such facility shall require a resolution of acceptance and/or maintenance by the Board of Aldermen.
