The Board of Aldermen may, from time to time, amend the terms of this chapter. No amendment shall become effective unless it has been submitted to the town’s Planning Board for review. The Planning Board shall have 30 days within which to submit a report. If the Planning Board does not submit a report within the specified time, it shall be deemed to have the approval of the amendment. All such amendments shall be adopted by ordinance following a public hearing. Public hearing notice shall be provided in accordance with G.S. § 160D-601.
