§ 75.09 REGULATION OF RIDING OF BICYCLES, MOTORIZED BICYCLES, AND SKATEBOARDS.
   (A)   Definitions.
      (1)     BICYCLE. Every device, other than a tricycle, designed solely for use as a play vehicle by a child, propelled solely by human power upon which any person may ride having either 2 tandem wheels, or 1 wheel in the front and 2 wheels in the rear, any of which is more than 14 inches in diameter.
      (2)     MOTORIZED BICYCLE. Any vehicle having either 2 tandem wheels or 1 wheel in the front and 2 wheels in the rear, that is capable of being pedaled and is equipped with a helper motor of not more than 50 cubic centimeters piston displacement which produces no more than 1 brake horsepower and is capable of propelling the vehicle at a speed of no greater than 20 miles per hour on a level surface.
      (3)     SKATEBOARD. A narrow board approximately 2 feet in length mounted on roller skate type wheels.
   (B)   No person shall ride a bicycle, motorized bicycle, or skateboard within the parks of the city where prohibited. This prohibition does not apply to motorized wheelchairs or other similar items used for the assistance of handicapped persons.
   (C)   The Safety-Service Director shall designate the prohibited areas and erect the necessary signs.
   (D)   Violation of this section shall be a minor misdemeanor.
