(A) The disposal of unground garbage to the sewer system is prohibited.
(B) Four requirements for properly ground garbage are that only food wastes be considered as garbage; that all ground particles be of such size that they will be carried freely under the normal flow conditions prevailing in the sewer conduit to which they are contributory; that installation of a garbage grinder with a 3/4 horsepower (or greater) motor be subject to approval of the Board of Public Affairs or its authorized representative; and that limitations on acceptable garbage grinder operation specify that not more than 30%, on the dry basis, pass a No. 40 U.S. Standard sieve.
