§ 36.48 HOLIDAYS.
   (A)   All employees of the Service Department who are classified as full-time employees shall be entitled to receive compensation for the following holidays at their regular rate of pay.
      HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
      New Year's Day
      Martin Luther King Jr. Day
      Memorial Day
      Juneteenth
      Independence Day
      Labor Day
      Veteran's Day
      Thanksgiving Day
      Day after Thanksgiving
      Christmas Eve (4 hours)
      Christmas Day
      Two personal days
      Good Friday (4 hours)
   (B)   Personal days may be used at the discretion of the employee after receiving prior approval by the department head.
   (C)   The holiday shall be considered the day upon which said holiday is celebrated, if not celebrated on the calendar day on which it falls. Should the paid holiday fall on Saturday or Sunday, the preceding Friday or the following Monday shall be given off unless another date is agreed upon by the department head and the Safety-Service Director. If Christmas falls on a Saturday or Sunday, then Christmas Eve shall not be observed.
   (D)   Any Service Department employee scheduled to work a regular shift Christmas Day or Thanksgiving Day shall be paid at the rate of 1-½ times their normal rate of pay.
