Employees shall receive compensation based upon their years of service according to the following schedule:
(A) The employee shall be entitled to receive $50 for each year of service over 5 years. This amount shall be paid in a lump sum the first payday after the first full pay period after February 1. The maximum amount paid under this section shall not exceed $1,250.
(B) The longevity amount shall be due any employee who has obtained 5-1/2 years of service by January 1st. Years of service shall be based upon the years credited in the employee’s respective retirement plan.
(C) Retired and rehired employees will not receive longevity pay.
