As used in the Ohio Building Code, “building” includes all necessary appurtenances and adjuncts to such building, including, but not limited to, the parking area required by this Building Code, the Subdivision Regulations and/or the Zoning Code. All of the requirements relating to use and occupancy contained in this Building Code shall apply to the construction and placement of parking areas. However, if a permit holder requests the issuance of a certificate of occupancy before completion of the structure pursuant to the occupancy provisions of this Building Code, such occupancy permit may be issued in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 1444.
