1420.01    ADOPTION OF OHIO BUILDING CODE.
   Pursuant to R.C. § 731.231, there is hereby adopted by and for the municipality the Ohio Building Code (OBC), being particularly the most current edition thereof, as adopted by the Ohio Board of Building Standards, Department of Industrial Relations, as published in the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) being Chapters 4101:1-1 to 4101:1-35 of the Ohio Administrative Code being the "International Building Code 2015, first printing, Chapters 2 to 35," as published by the "International Code Council, Inc." save and except such portions thereof as may be hereinafter amended or deleted. The purpose of the Ohio Building Code is to establish minimum requirements for the erection, construction, repair, alteration and maintenance of buildings, including construction of industrialized units. Permit fees provided in Chapter 1442 of this Building and Housing Code shall be applicable to permits issued under the OBC.
