Under the direction of the City Manager, the Street Superintendent shall supervise the improvement and repair of all streets, avenues, alleys, lands, lanes, bridges, viaducts, sidewalks, storm sewers, drains, ditches, culverts, streams and watercourses. In addition, the Street Superintendent shall supervise the lighting, sprinkling and cleaning of all public places, and shall perform such other duties consistent with the nature of his or her office, as the City Manager may require.
