Nominations shall be made by petition signed by not less than Seventy-five qualified electors of the City of Vandalia.
No electors shall sign more petitions than the number of councilmen that are to be chosen at the next municipal election. If an elector signs more than the maximum petitions, his or her signature shall be void except for the maximum petitions first filed.
The form of the nominating petition shall not carry any party marks or designations. The form and procedure shall be prescribed by the City Attorney subject to the enactment by Council.
