SECTION 6-12. RELIEF OF POLICEMEN AND FIREMEN.

By ordinance the Council shall provide a police and fire fund for the relief of members and their dependents of the Divisions of Police and Fire who are temporarily or permanently disabled in the discharge of their duties and for their dependents in the event of death to the members while discharging their duties.
