There is hereby created an advisory committee to advise the Board of County Commissioners with respect to animal services matters. The advisory committee is to be composed of 7 members to be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. Although this advisory committee serves at the pleasure of the Board of County Commissioners, it will submit its recommendations to the Animal Services Committee of the Board of County Commissioners and/or to the County Manager as appropriate. The advisory committee is prohibited from becoming involved in the daily operations or personnel administration of the Animal Services Department unless given official direction by the Board of County Commissioners. The Chief Animal Services Officer will be the staff liaison for the advisory committee.
