(A) The purpose of this section is to provide for adequate off-street parking for single-family residential developments and to maintain all roadways and entrances free of impediments to traffic.
(B) (1) Each lot within the subdivision shall be of adequate shape and size to provide a minimum of 2 on-site parking spaces for each dwelling unit on the lot.
(2) Each parking space shall have a minimum size of 9 feet by 19 feet for the exclusive use of residents and visitors of that lot.
(C) No parking shall be provided for on private roads or at the entrances to subdivisions unless additional paved width to the road has been approved expressly for this purpose by the Planning Board and/or NCDOT as appropriate.
