(A) The granting of an approval under the provisions of this chapter shall in no way affect any other type of approval required by any other statute or ordinance of the state or any political subdivision of the state, or of the United States, but shall be construed as an added requirement.
(B) Nothing in this chapter shall be deemed to require any change in the plans, construction or designated use of a building or structure where a building permit was secured prior to the adoption of this chapter, so long as the building permit remains valid.
