(A) The County Treasurer shall pay from the proceeds of the sale the costs of removal, storage, investigation as to ownership and sale, and liens, in that order. If after the sale the ownership of the vehicle at the time of its disposal is established satisfactorily to the CountyTreasurer by the person claiming ownership, he or she shall be paid so much of the proceeds of the sale as remains after payment of the costs of removal, storage, investigation as to ownership and sale, and any liens, as hereinabove required.
(B) However, if the owner of the vehicle at the time of its disposal cannot be ascertained, any remaining proceeds shall be deposited in the General Fund of the county.
