(A) Authorized employees of the Department of Water Works shall have the right-of-entry to any building or premises for the purpose of reading, inspecting and maintaining water meters and automatic meter reading devices or for the purpose of making inspections in order to maintain the public water supply system in good condition and to provide for the protection of the public water supply system.
(B) Where inspections are not of an immediate or urgent nature, employees of the Department of Water Works shall arrange for appointments mutually convenient to the owners or occupants of the building or premises and any authorized employees.
(C) Any person refusing to permit any authorized employee of the Department of Water Works access to the building or premises shall be in violation of this chapter and subject to suspension of water services until access is received.
