The person notified of a violation scheduled herein shall appear before the Violation Clerk within five days of receipt of the notice or be deemed to have denied the alleged violation, unless a different procedure is specified in the chapters and sections listed in § 37.04. Receipt of notice shall occur upon posting the notice upon the person’s automobile, residence or the mailing of the notice by first class mail to the person’s last known address, or faxing the notice to the person's home or business.
