§ 92.04 SALES AND CONVEYANCES.
All sales and conveyances of lots and graves shall be under the seal of the city, and shall be signed by the Clerk-Treasurer and the Mayor.
   (A)   Repurchase. The city will not repurchase burial rights. The city cannot assume the role of broker to the extent of advertising, finding potential buyers, or negotiating terms of sale. The city will provide the transfer deed to consummate the sale for which there is a fee. No sale is complete/valid unless it is properly registered with the city.
   (B)   Right to sell. Patrons should be aware that Indiana law prevents transfer of burial rights in some cases.
   (C)   Address change. It is the duty of each lot owner to notify the city of any change in mailing address. Notice sent to a lot owner at the last address on file in our office shall constitute sufficient and proper legal notification.
