The Common Council has seven members. The city is divided into five councilmanic districts and one candidate for Councilperson-at-large. The candidate in each district who receives the largest number of votes is elected over the other candidates for his or her particular district, and the candidates for Councilperson-at-large who receive the largest number of votes for that office are elected.
