§ 94.172 FEE SCHEDULE.
   There is hereby established the following fee schedule for the use of the ambulance service. Effective September 1, 2020 and annually thereafter, the rates established in divisions (A) through (E) shall automatically increase 3%.
   (A)   A charge of $600 for each transportation of an individual requiring Basic Life Support (BLS);
   (B)   A charge of $850 for each transportation of an individual requiring Advanced Life Support, Level 1 (ALS 1);
   (C)   A charge of $1,000 for each transportation of an individual requiring Advanced Life Support, Level 2 (ALS 2).
   (D)   In addition to the fees described in divisions (A), (B) and (C) above, each individual transported by the ambulance service shall be charged a mileage fee of $13.00 per mile. The mileage fee shall be assessed on the miles traveled from the location where the individual is picked up by the ambulance to the hospital where the individual is transported.
   (E)   In addition to the fees described in divisions (A) through (D) above, nonresidents shall be charged an additional fee of $100.
   (F)   A charge of $100 for each individual requiring advance life support intervention and refusing transport thereafter.
   (G)   The fees charged pursuant to the provisions of this section shall be modified so as to allow a reduction in ambulance transport fees to a rate equivalent to the Medicare reimbursement rate at the time the ambulance service is provided for wards of certain governmental entities, patients of certain health care providers organizations, individuals affiliated with certain not-for-profit organizations, and all employees/dependants of the city covered by the city’s insurance plan. The Board of Public Works and Safety is hereby authorized and empowered to identify specific organizations and entities to be included in the ambulance transport fee rate reduction established by this section.
   (H)   A charge in an amount not to exceed $20 shall be made so as to reimburse the city for expenses incurred when document requests and compliance with court issued subpoenas require copying of Fire Department ambulance records and forwarding of those records to the requesting party.
