A permit shall not be issued until the fee prescribed therefor has been paid to the Building Commissioner, who shall issue a receipt therefor to the applicant and pay such fee over to the Village Treasurer. The fees prescribed in this chapter shall be additive, and a separate fee shall be paid for each of the items listed. Where work has been commenced without the application for or issuance of a permit and payment of the required fee, a penalty fee of triple the amount of the ordinary fee otherwise required in this chapter shall be charged. Permit fees shall provide for customary inspection only. Where additional inspections are made necessary by incomplete or faulty work, the fee shall be fifty dollars ($50.00) for each re-inspection. These fees shall be implemented only if needed at the discretion of the Building Commissioner.
