(a) The contractor shall engage the services of a Vibration Monitoring Specialist to perform blast monitoring as specified herein, and to evaluate compliance with these specifications.
(b) The Vibration Monitoring Specialist shall not be an employee of the contractor or have ownership interest in the company. The Vibration Monitoring Specialist shall not be an employee or have ownership interest in companies supplying materials to the work. The Vibration Monitoring Specialist shall have a minimum of five years recent experience in monitoring construction blasting in urban areas.
(c) The Vibration Monitoring Specialist or his designated employees shall be present on site to perform all blast monitoring as specified herein.
