(a) Council hereby authorizes the Fire Department to provide fire protection to any county, municipal corporation or township of this State upon authorization of the officer or employee of the Department designated in subsection (b) hereof.
(b) The Fire Chief or his or her designee is hereby designated as the officer or employee of the Department to give such authorization as may be appropriate pursuant to subsection (a) hereof.
