240.14 INCENTIVE BONUS FOR PARAMEDIC CERTIFICATES.
   (a)   Upon receipt of a paramedic certificate, each firefighter shall receive an incentive bonus of one thousand dollars ($1,000).

   (b)   A part-time employee qualified as a paramedic and working a minimum of 400 hours in that year shall receive nine hundred dollars ($900) per year to be paid in two separate payments of four hundred fifty dollars ($450) each. After 200 hours are worked on or before June 30, the first payment ($450) will be paid during the first pay period in July. After 200 hours are worked between July 1 and December 31, the second payment ($450) will be paid in the first pay period following December 31. The paramedic must work 200 hours during each of the two pay periods to be eligible for the incentive bonus. Hours worked other than scheduled duty hours (drill, ext. drills, CPA classes, sick time, etc.) do not count towards the 400 hours required.
