240.03 DUTIES.
   (a)   The Chief of the Fire Department shall perform all of the duties usually and customarily performed by persons holding such rank with the State and such duties as may be prescribed by ordinance.
   (b)   The duties of personnel in the Department, except for the Fire Chief, shall include, but shall not be limited to, the fighting of fires, the performing of rescue work, the providing of emergency ambulance services, the performance of assignments relating to flood control, fire inspections and fire prevention, the maintenance of hydrants, the maintenance of equipment, the performance of housekeeping chores relating to the fire station, the keeping of records, the providing of instruction to other members of the Department and to residents of the village and such other duties as may be prescribed by ordinance.
   (c)   The Chief shall determine from time to time the duties and responsibilities of each officer of the Department.
