§ 150.073 MECHANICAL CODE AND CONTRACTOR LICENSES.
   (A)   International Mechanical Code adopted by reference. To provide certain standards, provisions and requirements for regulating the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of mechanical systems and providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor, each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of the International Mechanical Code, 2012 edition, published by the International Code Council, are hereby adopted and incorporated by reference as though printed in full herein. Three copies of the Code, shall be on file at the office of the City Clerk, available for public inspection during office hours. The provisions of the International Mechanical Code shall be controlling throughout the city and throughout its zoning jurisdiction.

   (B)   Mechanical contractors and journeymen; license. No person shall install, repair, manufacture, replace, fit or change any air conditioning/air distribution system, any furnace, restaurant appliance hood and its duct system or any other exhaust or intake ventilating system within the city’s corporate limits or extraterritorial jurisdiction without first having obtained a mechanical contractor’s license or a mechanical journeyman’s license from the City Building Inspector.
