(A) Generally. The operator of a vehicle shall not follow another vehicle more closely than is reasonable and prudent, having due regard for the speed of the vehicles and the amount of traffic and condition of the street.

(B) Fire apparatus. No driver of any vehicle shall follow any fire apparatus traveling in response to a fire alarm closer than 500 feet or drive into or park such vehicle within the block where said fire apparatus has stopped in answer to a fire alarm.
