§ 71.01 TRUCK ROUTES.
   (A)   For the purpose of this section, a TRUCK shall be defined as a motor vehicle that is designated, used or maintained primarily for the transportation of property and having a gross vehicle weight of 20,000 pounds or more.
   (B)   The City Council may by resolution designate certain streets in the city that trucks shall travel upon, and it shall be unlawful for the driver of such a truck to travel on streets other than those so designated except to pick up or deliver goods, wares or merchandise, and in such events, the operator of such vehicle shall return to such truck routes as soon as possible in traveling through or about the city. The City Council shall cause notices to be posted or shall erect signs indicating the streets so designated as restricted routes.
