Each contractor/ hauler shall comply with all applicable Federal and state laws, county ordinances, rules and regulations, and all amendments thereto. Throughout the duration of their contract or permit, each contractor/hauler and his or her surety shall indemnify, defend and save harmless the county from and against any claim, demand, judgment, settlement, costs or expenses, including, without limitation, court costs and attorneys' fees, arising from or in connection with any violation of any such law, rule and regulation, whether by himself or herself, his or her employee, or his or her agent.
