The Board may not abandon a road for maintenance unless the road viewers have recommended it be abandoned for maintenance. After providing those whose property abuts or adjoins the road an opportunity to be heard on the matter, the Board may, but is not required to, abandon a road for maintenance for which the road viewers recommend such action. The equivalency requirement provided in § 94.081 above shall be satisfied concurrently with any abandonment of maintenance.
