(A) Creation. There is hereby created a County Planning Commission for the county, pursuant to NMSA §§ 4-57-1 through 4-57-3.
(B) Membership. The County Planning Commission shall consist of not less than 5 members who shall be appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, who shall be residents of the county, and who shall not be employees of the county. The County Planning Commission shall have available to it the assistance of the County Manager and the County Zoning Administrator.
(C) Terms. The members on the County Planning Commission shall be appointed for 1-year terms. Members may be reappointed for an indefinite number of terms. Vacancies shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired term only. Members may be removed for cause stated in writing, following a public hearing, by a majority vote of the Board of County Commissioners.
