§ 1-5-5 POWERS AND DUTIES OF COUNCIL.

The Council shall be the legislative and governing body of the town and shall exercise, except as otherwise provided in this chapter, all powers conferred upon or possessed by the town and shall adopt such laws, ordinances, and resolutions as it shall deem proper.
