(A) Elected from Council. The Mayor Pro Tem shall be elected by a majority vote of the Council at the first organization meeting to be held within seven days from the election and shall serve at the pleasure of the Council for a two-year term.
(B) Duties and responsibilities. In the absence or disability of the Mayor, the Mayor Pro Tem shall perform all duties and have all powers of the Mayor. In the event of a vacancy in the office of Mayor Pro Tem, the Council shall choose his or her successor.
