The franchisee at its own cost and expense and in a manner approved by the town shall replace and restore all paving, sidewalks, driveways or surface of any street or alley or public way disturbed, in as good a condition as before the work was commenced and shall maintain the restoration in an improved condition for a period of one year. Failure of the franchisee to replace or restore such paving, sidewalk, driveway, or street surface within 48 hours after completion of work shall authorize the town to cause the proper restoration to be made at the franchisee’s expense.
