It is unlawful for any person to violate any of the provisions of the Municipal Traffic Code as adopted and amended in this chapter, or of any provision of this chapter, and any such violation shall be punishable as provided in this chapter. Every person convicted of a violation of any provision of the Municipal Traffic Code or of any provision of this chapter shall be punished by a fine of not more than $300 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
