§ 6-3E-7 CABLE TELEVISION; UNAUTHORIZED CONNECTION, TAMPERING.
   (A)   Unauthorized connections. It is unlawful for any person or entity to make for himself or herself or for another person to make any unauthorized connection, whether physically, electrically, acoustically, inductively or otherwise, with any part of the franchised cable television system within the town for the purpose of enabling himself or herself or another person or entity to receive any television signal, radio signal, picture, program or sound without payment to the operator of said cable system. In any prosecution charging a violation of this section, proof that the defendant named in the complaint was at the time of the alleged violation the owner of record of the property or the person occupying said property receiving the signal as prohibited in this section, constitutes in evidence a prima facie presumption that the owner of record or the person in occupation was the person who violated the provisions of this section.
   (B)   Tampering prohibited. It is unlawful for any person, without the consent of the owner thereof to wilfully or negligently tamper with, remove or injure any cables, wires or equipment used for distribution of franchised television signals, radio signals, pictures, programs or sound.
