(A) Purpose. These regulations are enacted for the purpose of promoting the health, safety and general welfare of the residents and visitors in the town. These regulations are intended to achieve the following more specific purposes:
(1) To protect the air quality in the town;
(2) To reverse the continuing trend toward increased air degradation in the town;
(3) To provide heat sources that are efficient and have a reduced polluting effect; and
(4) To generally protect the air for the purpose of the public’s overall health, safety and welfare.
(B) Applicability. The provisions of this chapter shall apply to all areas of the town.
