§ 14-1-5 VARIANCES.
   Variances to the development standards may be allowed when practical difficulties and unnecessary physical hardships inconsistent with the purpose and intent of the development standards exist. Variances from the development standards shall be in accordance with Title 12, Chapter 17 of this code. The issuance of a variance shall not compromise the safety of a site or structure.
