(a) Employees required to perform jury duty or serve as court witnesses under summons or subpoena will receive full pay for time away from work.
(b) In the event a part-time Village employee appears in any Court proceeding as a witness for the Village, which appearance requires that he take time away from employment with an employer other than the Village, such employee shall be compensated at the higher of the rate paid by the Village or such other employer for such time away from work.
(c) In order for any employee to qualify for payment under this section, such employee must pay over to the Village department head all jury duty fees and/or witness fees, exclusive of travel, lodging and meal allowances, and compensation received from such other employer, if any, for payment to the Village general fund.
