§ 92.01 ADOPTION OF INTERNATIONAL FIRE CODE.
   The International Fire Code (IFC) 2018 Edition is hereby adopted by the City Council for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing the safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life and property in the occupancy of buildings and premises in the city; providing for the issuance of permits for hazardous use or operations; that a certain document known as the International Fire Code, including Appendix Chapters B, C, D, as published by the International Fire Code Council, being particularly the 2018 Editions thereof and the whole thereof, save and except those portions as are hereinafter deleted, modified or amended by 92.04, three copies of the document which have been and are now filed in the office of the City Clerk and the same are hereby adopted and incorporated as fully as if set out at length herein, and from the date on which this chapter shall take effect, the provision thereof shall be controlling within the limits of the city.
