No person shall park a motor truck, semi-trailer or other motor vehicle with trailer attached if the truck has a freight capacity greater than one ton, except when those vehicles are actually engaged in the delivery or receiving of merchandise or cargo, on any streets abutting property zoned for R-1, R-2 or R-3 occupancy, as defined in the city’s zoning regulations. When actually receiving or delivering merchandise or cargo, the vehicle shall be stopped or parked in a manner which will not interfere with other traffic. The provisions of this section shall not apply to pickup, light delivery or panel delivery trucks.
