Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, parking of vehicles on the streets which have a paved or unpaved width for vehicular traffic not in excess of 34 feet shall be permitted only on that side of the street where houses and other building have or would have odd numbers. Signs showing these restrictions may be posted upon those streets. It is the intent of this section to allow parking on one side of the street if not expressly prohibited by other provisions of this code.
