(A) The Council may, by resolution, deny or restrict the use of any street to certain types of vehicles when the recommendation for the restriction has been submitted to the Council by the Engineering and Public Works Director on showing that the use would either tend to destroy the pavement or would tend to create a hazard endangering the public safety or health.
(B) If the resolution is passed, it is the duty of the Engineering and Public Works Department to post signs along the street informing the general public of the restriction.
(C) When the signs are erected giving notice of the restrictions, any person failing to comply with the notice shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.

(D) When signs are erected giving notice of certain types of vehicle restrictions, any person failing to comply with the notice shall be subject to the penalty provisions of § 10.99.
