AN ORDINANCE ENACTING AND ADOPTING SUPPLEMENTS TO THE 2015 MUNICIPAL CODE FOR THE CITY OF URBANDALE, STATE OF IOWA
WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio has completed supplements through December 31, 2021 to the City of Urbandale 2015 Municipal Code, which supplements contain all ordinances of a general and permanent nature enacted since the June 9, 2015 adoption of the City of Urbandale 2015 Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide for the usual daily operation of the municipality and for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and general welfare of the municipality, that this ordinance take effect upon adoption.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF URBANDALE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the supplements through December 31, 2021 to the 2015 Municipal Code of the City of Urbandale, as submitted by American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, be and the same are hereby adopted by reference as if set out in their entirety.
Section 2. Such supplements shall be deemed published as of the day of their adoption and approval by the Urbandale City Council.
Section 3. This ordinance is declared necessary for the preservation of the peace, health, safety and general welfare of the people of the City of Urbandale and shall take effect at the earliest date provided by law.

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE “MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF URBANDALE, IOWA, 2015”
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Urbandale, Iowa, that:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to published notice and following public hearing on the 30th day of September, 2014, so required by the Code of Iowa, there is hereby adopted by the City of Urbandale, Iowa, the “MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF URBANDALE, IOWA, 2015.” The several ordinances hereinafter identified and described by their respective chapters shall constitute the “MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF URBANDALE, IOWA, 2015.”
SECTION 2. The Code as adopted in Section 1 shall consist of the following:

SECTION 3. All of the provisions of the “MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF URBANDALE, IOWA, 2015,” shall be in force and effect on and after the effective date of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts thereof in force on the effective date of this ordinance are hereby repealed from and after the effective date of this ordinance.
SECTION 5. Ordinances passed subsequent to the preparation of this code, but prior to adoption of this code, starting with Ordinance 2014-01 and henceforth till this Ordinance is hereby adopted, shall be made a part of this code. Those said ordinances shall be codified and incorporated in published copies of this code as supplements thereto following adoption of this ordnance.
SECTION 6. An official copy of the “MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF URBANDALE, IOWA, 2015” adopted by this ordinance, including a certificate of the City Clerk as to its adoption and the effective date, is on file in the office of the City Clerk, and shall be kept available for public inspection.
SECTION 7. The City Clerk shall furnish a copy of the “MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF URBANDALE, IOWA, 2015” to the Judicial Magistrates serving the City of Urbandale.
SECTION 8. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the publication of this ordinance, as required by law.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF URBANDALE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the supplements through December 31, 2017, to the 2015 Municipal Code of the City of Urbandale, as submitted by American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, be and the same are hereby adopted by reference as if set out in their entirety.
Section 2. Such supplements shall be deemed published as of the day of their adoption and approval by the Urbandale City Council.
Section 3. This ordinance is declared necessary for the preservation of the peace, health, safety and general welfare of the people of the City of Urbandale and shall take effect at the earliest date provided by law.
