There is hereby created the position of Zoning Inspector, hereinafter referred to as the Inspector. The Inspector shall be appointed by the Mayor which appointment shall be confirmed by a majority vote of the members of Council. The Inspector shall hold the position until his successor is appointed and qualified. The Mayor may remove the Inspector from office without cause with the consent of a majority of the members of Council. The salary of the Inspector shall be fixed by ordinance passed by Council, and may be increased or decreased by Council at any time.
