SECTION 9.01 APPOINTMENT AND TERMS OF OFFICE.
   The Treasurer shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by a majority vote of the members elected to the Council.
   The Treasurer shall serve during the term for which the Mayor who made the appointment was elected, and until the Treasurer's successor is appointed, confirmed and qualified.
   The Mayor may remove the Treasurer from office without cause with the consent of a majority of the members of Council.
   The Treasurer may be removed from office, without cause, by the affirmative vote of six (6) of the members elected to Council, without the consent of the Mayor.
   The office of Treasurer may not be combined with any other office of the Municipality.
   In the event that the office of Treasurer is not a full-time position, then in that event the Treasurer may delegate the investment of inactive funds to the Auditor as provided for in Article VII; Section 7.03 which precedes. (Amended November 8, 2022.)
