The OSC shall have the following duties:
(A) To recommend to the Board plans, policies and programs for the promotion and retention of open space and land preservation within the township;
(B) To advise and recommend to the Board on uses of open space and land preservation considering reports of the Township Natural and Working Farms Action Plan; the Township Park, Recreation, Open Space and Environmental Plan; the Environmental Advisory Council; the Southwestern Lehigh County Comprehensive Plan; and any and all relevant state laws and regulations pertaining to open space and land preservation that exist or may be subsequently enacted;
(C) To develop, recommend and promote community programs designed to enhance public awareness of issues affecting open space and land preservation within the township;
(D) To work cooperatively with public, private, commercial and industrial entities within the township to develop a comprehensive understanding of the potential impacts of use and development by such entities upon open space and undeveloped land; and
(E) To undertake such additional tasks as may be requested by the Board.
