(A) All costs of purchasing and installing, along with any cost associated with implementation of the key lock box at a specific property, will be the responsibility of the owner.
(C) All key lock boxes shall be installed to the left or right of the main entry door, unless otherwise approved by the jurisdictional Fire Chief.
(D) All key lock boxes shall be installed a minimum of four feet and not more than six feet from the ground to the center of the box, unless otherwise approved by the jurisdictional Fire Chief.
(E) The key lock box shall be installed with an alarm tamper switch that connects to an intrusion/burglar alarm system/fire alarm control panel, when provided.
(F) All realty and/or property with an electronic security gate shall have the key lock box installed outside of the gate. In lieu of having the interior keys at the outside key lock box location, a second key lock box may be located within the building by the main entrance at the same height and location as referenced in divisions (A) through (E) above, if approved by the jurisdictional Fire Chief.
(G) No instructions, displays or signs shall be located by the key lock box which would allow intruders to access the box without assistance.
(H) Notwithstanding any of the foregoing, the owner of the key lock box shall contact the jurisdictional Fire Chief prior to mounting the lock box for approval of the proposed location of the lock box, and to allow the jurisdictional Fire Chief to observe the installation of the lock box to ensure proper location and installation. The approved location for the installation of the lock box shall be of the complete discretion of the Jurisdictional Fire Chief.
