§ 92.15 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   ALARM TAMPER SWITCH. A switch, installed within the key lock box, which is wired to the alarm system of a building, activating the alarm upon any opening or tampering of the key lock box.
   AUTOMATIC DIALER. A device that automatically dials and relays a prerecorded message to a central station or the Fire Department.
   AUTOMATIC FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM. A system or assembly of piping, valves, controls and sprinklers which are designed and installed to comply with National Fire Protection Association standards, which utilize water, foam, CO2 , or other gas to automatically react to suppress fire.
   CENTRAL STATION. An office of a private company to which remote alarm and supervisory signaling devices are transmitted and where personnel are in attendance at all times to supervise the circuits and investigate signals.
   COMMERCIAL. Related to, or used in, the buying, selling and offering of goods and services. Not related to residential uses or structures.
   FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL. The controlling component of a fire alarm system.
   FIRE ALARM SYSTEM. Equipment which automatically actuates a fire alarm when the detecting element is exposed to fire, smoke, abnormal rise or decrease in temperature or activation or a sprinkler system or manually activated device.
   FIRE PROTECTIVE DEVICE. Any device aiding in the prevention or notification of a fire.
   INDUSTRIAL. Relating to industry, of or relating to factories, the people who work in factories, or the things made in factories.
   JURISDICTIONAL FIRE CHIEF. An appointed or elected top ranking or commanding officer of an township volunteer fire company or his or her duly recognized designee.
   KEY LOCK BOX. A locking metal container that is UL approved and designated to hold keys for emergency entry into buildings, which can be opened by a key to be kept by the township fire departments for emergency use only.
   LOCK BOX DOCUMENT VAULT. A locking metal container that is UL approved and designated to hold important documents (i.e., material safety data sheets), which can be opened by a key to be kept by the township fire departments for emergency use only.
   MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET. Information intended to provide workers and emergency personnel with procedures for handling or working with that substance in a safe manner, and includes information such as physical data (melting point, boiling point, flash point and the like), toxicity, health effects, first aid, reactivity, storage, disposal, protective equipment and spill-handling procedures.
   OWNER. Any person or entity which owns, leases, manages and/or is in control of a structure, building, facility or property.
   PULL STATION. An active fire protection device, usually wall-mounted, that, when activated, initiates an alarm on a fire alarm system. It is activated by pulling a handle down, which completes a circuit and locks the handle in the activated position, sending an alarm to the fire alarm control panel.
   STRUCTURE. Any building, facility or human-made object.
   UL (UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES). An American worldwide Occupational Safety and Health Administration approved safety consulting and certification company, participating in the safety analysis of new technologies.
