(A) The appropriate weight limitation sign shall be erected and maintained designating the weight limitation within 25 feet of each end of the restricted area, and an advance informational sign shall be posted at the intersection nearest each end of the restricted area so as to allow drivers to avoid the restricted area.
(B) Any person operating a vehicle or combination of vehicles upon the restricted areas in violation of this schedule shall be guilty of a summary offense, and upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of $150, plus $150 for each 500 pounds, or part thereof, in excess of 3,000 pounds over the maximum allowable weight.
